The Deeto website widget displays customer-generated content — quotes, testimonials, case studies, and video testimonials — directly on your website. It’s customizable, mobile-responsive, and managed entirely from your Deeto workspace. No re-embedding required when you update content.
The website widget is a paid add-on. If the option is locked in your workspace, contact your Deeto Customer Success Representative.

Before you start

You’ll need:
  • Access to your website’s backend or a website builder (Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.)
  • Deeto workspace with admin access
  • Customer content ready to display — quotes, testimonials, or case studies marked as Approved for public use

Step 1: Prepare your content

  1. Log in to your Deeto workspace
  2. Go to Assets → Knowledge Hub
  3. Find the customer content you want to display
  4. Mark each piece as Approved for public use if not already done

Step 2: Create your widget

  1. Go to Assets → Widgets
  2. Click Create New Widget
  3. Give your widget a name (e.g., “Homepage Testimonials” or “Pricing Page Proof”)
  4. Select the content to display:
    • Choose which testimonials or quotes to include
    • Filter by customer segment if needed (e.g., “Enterprise customers only”)
    • Set the number of items to show

Step 3: Configure display settings

Step 4: Get your embed code

  1. From the Widgets list, find your widget
  2. Click Get Embed Code
  3. Copy the entire code snippet (iframe tag)

Step 5: Install on your website

  1. Open your website builder
  2. Navigate to the page where you want the widget
  3. Add an Embed or Custom Code block
  4. Paste the Deeto widget code
  5. Save and publish

Step 6: Verify the installation

  1. Visit your website page
  2. Clear your browser cache if the widget doesn’t appear
  3. Confirm the widget displays correctly on both mobile and desktop
  4. Click through testimonials to check the interaction behavior

Step 7: Customize appearance

If the widget doesn’t match your branding:
  1. Return to Assets → Widgets in Deeto
  2. Click your widget and go to Styling
  3. Adjust background color, text color, font, border style, and button colors
  4. Save — changes appear on your website within minutes, no re-embedding needed

Troubleshooting

Verify the embed code was copied completely. Check that you’re viewing the published version of the page (not a draft). Clear your browser cache and reload. Check the browser console for errors (F12 → Console).
Make sure you have published content in Deeto. Verify content is marked as “Approved for public use.” Check that your widget filters aren’t excluding all available content. Allow up to 5 minutes for content to sync after changes.
Review the widget styling settings in Deeto and confirm colors and fonts are set correctly. Check whether your website CSS is overriding the widget styles. Contact support@deeto.ai for custom styling assistance.
The widget loads asynchronously and is designed not to slow your page. Content is cached for fast display. If you experience persistent delays, contact support@deeto.ai.

Updating your widget

To change the content displayed:
  1. Go to Assets → Widgets
  2. Click your widget and edit the content selection
  3. Save — changes appear on your website within minutes
No re-embedding is needed for content updates.
