Prerequisites
- Active Salesforce org (sandbox or production) with Admin access
- Active Deeto workspace with Admin access
- Installation URL from your Deeto Customer Success Manager
Installation
Get your installation URL
Log in to your Deeto workspace as an administrator. Go to Settings → Integrations → Salesforce. Your Deeto CSM will provide a customized installation link for your environment.
Install the package in Salesforce
Copy the installation URL and paste it into your browser while logged into Salesforce. On the “Install Deeto Package” screen, choose your target environment:
- Production — Install in your live Salesforce org
- Sandbox — Install in a test environment first (recommended)
Configure field mappings
After installation, go to Deeto Settings in Salesforce → Integration → Field Mapping. Map Salesforce fields to Deeto:
- Contact fields — name, email, company, industry, etc.
- Account fields — company name, industry, size, etc.
- Opportunity fields — stage, amount, close date, etc.
Assign permissions
Go to Setup → Users → Permission Sets. Find the Deeto User permission set, click Manage Assignments, select the users who should have Deeto access, and click Assign.
Enable the Deeto tab
Go to Setup → App Manager. Create a new app or edit an existing one, add the Deeto tab, save, and assign it to relevant users.
Configure the Connected App
Go to Setup → Apps → Connected Apps → Manage Connected Apps. Find “Deeto”, review the OAuth scopes and permissions, and approve if prompted.
What you get after installation
Deeto tab in Opportunities — View recommended references for prospects, invite them to connect with references, track reference call status and outcomes, and access customer proof — all without leaving Salesforce. Deeto tab in Accounts — View all references associated with an account, track their engagement and participation, and access their contribution history. Verify the Deeto app is enabled in your org. Check that the Deeto tab is added to your app layout. Ensure your user has the Deeto permission set assigned.

Review your field mappings in Deeto Settings. Verify that Salesforce field API names are correct and that data types match between systems.
References not appearing
References not appearing
Verify you have references in your Deeto Knowledge Hub. Check contact and account matching criteria. Ensure the Salesforce contact has sufficient data for matching.
